HELP WANTED!
We are sustained by the efforts of volunteers who display an extraordinary amount of commitment and hard work, ensuring that soccer is a positive influence in the lives of our children. We also strive to provide a service to our community by providing a healthy outlet for children, opportunities for the community to gather together, and endless hours of recreation.
Our volunteers dont need to do it alone... Can you spare a 1/2 hour before or after your child's game to help in the concessions stand? Volunteers only need to help with the easy stuff like collecting money and getting drinks and candy, etc. If you would like to volunteer and help out your organization please stop by the concession stand and sign up for a time slot. If you have questions, look for a board member (usually wearing cool EWG shirt) or Contact concessions@ewgsoccer.org

Without volunteers, this organization would not survive!
PLEASE Consider helping out!

KIDS CORNER
This year, we are introducing Kids' Korner  here on our website and in the Sweeper.  This is a way for us to recognize players from week to week.  It could be a child's first goal or perhaps a multi-goal game or a great play or simply some excellent effort during a game or practice.  In short, we want to get the kids excited about the possibility of being recognized and encourage everyone to read each publication and visit the website.  So, if you have someone you'd like to recognize, please send a brief synopsis of the player you'd like recognized and the reason why and and we'll add it here and to the next Sweeper's articles.  Thanks!

EWG soccer would like to congratulate our boys U-8 C, co-ed U10, girls U-12 open, girls U-12 C, and girls U-16 B teams on winning the championship title in their division at Teamwork’s! Several other teams will be having their playoffs within the next couple of weeks, so we will keep you posted!

Hello Parents! The spring 2012 soccer season is fast approaching… Make sure to register early to guarantee placement. Our first game will be on Saturday, April 7, 2012. Teams will be divided up immediately after the registration deadline (March 18, 2012), providing we have enough coaches per division. Registered coaches will be contacted at that time as well. Remember that registering on time will help the league get the teams in place much more efficiently.

This year we will hold the Coaches orientation and a Player/Coach meet and greet on the same night (date TBA) before the first week available for practice. Each individual coach will set the time and day of the soccer practices. More information about this will be available very soon.

We are also recruiting for 2 vacancies on our board: Facilities Manager & Training Director. If you have any interest, know someone who might be interested or have questions about the positions, please contact Mike Ruggeri president@ewgsoccer.org. Joining the board is a great way to get more involved with your community and make sure your child’s soccer experience is the best it can be! The EWGYSA Board Members are always here to help. We welcome your input and our door is always open to you.
